We are a Weaver Xtreme Plus user and very happy with our purchase. Great job by the developers.A small request / help to solve a problem we are facing:One of our client has asked us to improve his website’s score in http://seositecheckup.com test.One of the issue this http://seositecheckup.com is raising is about inline CSS rules.Please see:There are these “style=”clear:both;” inline rules in Weaver Xtreme that http://seositecheckup.com is not happy with.These rules occur in many places like:<div class=”clear-branding” style=”clear:both;”><div class=”clear-header-widget-area” style=”clear:both;”><div class=”clear-info-bar-end” style=”clear:both;”>etc.I personally use Google PageSpeed but we can’t ignore the client’s request.Can we do something about this?May be in next version of Weaver Xtreme, a class ( something like ‘clearall’ ) be added and the CSS rules be moved to CSS file?Cheers.ArslanUnfortunately, this is not a small request. For long time, it has been customary to use inline style for clear:both. They were there first, and only recently was a specific “clear-xxx” class added to help with the documentation.
It is common practice to do it this way, and I am extremely reluctant to make a major change like that. There are tens of thousands of Weaver users (and other themes do this as well), and this is the first time this particular issue has been mentioned. Such listings from sites must be considered recommendations only, and not the “law”. If any site could be considered the “law”, it would be Google’s or Bing’s. If those sites report some theme caused issue, we would consider change.
