html in site title

I’d like to put a span in the site title. Is this possible? As it stands the html gets displayed.

WordPress Title and tagline do not accept HTML.

What you can do is Hide the default Site Title and tagline using the options available in these section, and use one of the HTML Insertion area or the Header widget area to compose your own.

if you need more help on which are would be best suited, you need to provide a link to your site so we can what is in your header and tell us if you have “plus” which has a lot more options in this regard
