ParticipantHello there!
- I had added the google meta tag for their Search Consul some time ago and we were getting data etc. from them, but just in the past few days, they say our site is not verified now.
Would I need to add this in the child theme functions.php? and if so, could you tell me exactly where and how I would add their meta tag?
<b>” Copy </b>the meta tag below, and paste it into your site’s home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section….”
2. Also, could you direct me to where you have any info on how to enter scripts, tags, etc. like the above into the childtheme’s functions as I am not sure how to use it – I have done searches on your site and forum but so far not found anything.
Many thanks for your time

ModeratorChild theme related questions are not Theme (XTreme) specific, so these questions would be best answered on the WordPress forum.
That said, you do not need to bother with a child theme to add stuff to the HEad, you can do that in Appearance > Xtreme Admin > Advanced options > Head Section > HEad Section box of the Theme Admin

ParticipantEDIT: Google has now been able to verify …I just needed a bit more patience with cloudflare I think.
Many thanks, Scrambler …I cannot see a wordpress forum on the navbar to my left?
I have followed your instructions, purged our cloudflare cache, waited more than was necessary but google is still not able to access it and our verification is still denied. Any ideas??

ModeratorThe WordPress forum has nothing to do with this site, it is below
I am confused about your email above as the edit is before the phrase that says you still have problem. I will assume you did fix your issue unless you say otherwise 🙂
