    For years, I have been trying to get equal spacings for all menu headings for both primary and secondary menus on the desktop version. The phones work fine.

    I am using SmartMenus and the best working CSS I have added is:
    .wvrx-menu a {margin-left: 0em; margin-right: 0em; padding-left: 0.50em; padding-right: 0.5em;}

    However, today when F12 inspecting the menu headers, I found that all but 2 of the headings have L/R paddings of 8/32, while the other two “List of Authors” and “Bible Sharing” have an L/R of 8/16.

    I’ve no idea why these two headings have L/R paddings of 8/16, as I did not knowingly do it, but that is the appearance I want to achieve for all menu headings. (The 8/32 spacing is too wide.)

    I’ve been searching to find where the L/R paddings of 8/16 and 8/32 originate, so I can change them, but so far have been unable to find anything.

    Can you please advise how to achieve L/R paddings of 8/16 on all menu headings?

    Regards and thanks,
    Angus

    I believe the menu items with a sub menu have extra space for the arrow that normally opens up the sub menu.

    before we force spacing with Custom CSS, you should explore the smart meu options regarding sub menu arrow or lack thereof styling

    Wow… that was a quick and easy resolution!

    Yes, the 2x narrower headings had no sub-menus, so had no space provision for the hidden arrows.

    I turned off the “SmartMenus”, which removed the (hidden) arrows in the desktop menus. Now all are equally spaced, and more narrowly spaced.

    Thanks for your advice! Greatly appreciated!!
