How to exclude a certain post from the blog page

Hi, is there a way to exclude certain posts from the loop (I think that’s the correct term…)? I would like to publish some posts in two languages, English and Czech, but don’t want the Czech ones to appear on the blog page. I would like to have a separate category for them so my temporary solution of publishing them as pages rather than posts isn’t really suitable. Is there an easy way to do this? Thank you.

Yes, just use categories for each language (post can have more than one category). Then in the page with post settings you can exclude the category you do not want

But that won’t prevent the post from showing up on the front/blog page, will it? I’m probably not explaining this very well… My front page shows all my latest posts but I don’t want certain posts to show up on my front page. The front page isn’t a page with posts it’s the blog page. Although I guess I could make it a page with posts. Ok, I’ll try that. Thanks.

You will need to use the Page with Posts page template rather than the default blog front page.

Yes, do not use worpdress default blog page.

In Settings > REading , Front page should be set to static and NOTHING should be selected in the post page drop down list.

Then you create your blog page with a regular static page using the “page with posts” template so you have full control
