    Hello,

    I am trying to dequeue the following weaverx style sheets:

    /wp-content/themes/weaver-xtreme/assets/css/fonts.min.css
    /wp-content/themes/weaver-xtreme/assets/css/style-weaverx.min.css

    I have implemented the following code in the functions.php file, however this code is not working.

    //Remove Weaverx style sheets
    function remove_weaverx_styles() {
    wp_dequeue_style( ‘weaverx-font-sheet’ );
    wp_dequeue_style( ‘weaverx-style-sheet’ );
    }

    add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘remove_weaverx_styles’, 100 );

    Please, can anybody explain to me why it is not working and which code I need to use in order to dequeue the styles?

    Kind regards,

    Remco

    Is that in a child theme?

    Did you try 11 instead of 100?

    Hello Weaver,

    I have tried 11 instead of 100, but that did not work.

    I am using a child theme.

    In Lighthouse I am getting the suggestion to remove weaverx-font-sheet-css and weaverx-style-sheet-css, because both style sheets are not used.

    The font sheet is used only for some icons – like the symbols in post meta data, while the weaverx-style-sheet.css is absolutely used for EVERYTHING, and nothing will work correctly without it. You would have to supply a full replacement stylesheet that provides all the css rules the theme uses. Most themes use the base style.css style sheet, but some more advanced themes (including Weaver Xtreme) move the main style sheet to a different folder which normally makes it easier to provide custom style.css sheets for child themes.
