    Hello there,

    Can you give instructions on how to add some text to the top of the 404 page

    Have searched a lot but can’t find instructions for this.

    This would require creating a child theme and creating a edited custom version of the 404.php file in the child theme.

    However, the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/404page/ lets you specify a standard page to be displayed as the 404 page, and you can customize that however you need to.

    I think there are plugins that will allow customization of the page.

    If it is just simple text, we could probably do it with CSS. We would need a link to your 404 page with specific details of where the text should be to help further
