    Hi Folks,

    No rush on this one!

I have been trying to use child/style.css to insert a small space under standard WP5.2.3 audio file inserts, but I can find no information on it.

My standard WP5 insert is:  [audio mp3="https:-address-file-name.mp3"][/audio]

    I tried:

    ‘.post-area audio-player {margin-bottom:15px !important;}’  and
    ‘.post-area audio {margin-bottom:15px !important;}’

    but sadly they do nothing.

I can do it by wrapping ‘< div style=”margin-bottom: 15px;”>’ around the audio insert, but I would rather have a global solution.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards and thanks,
    Angus

We need a link to the page with the player.

and FYI there is no need for a child theme for custom CSS.

Custom CSS can be added in the theme Global Custom CSS rule box

    Thanks!
    See:  https://www.hiskingdomprophecy.com/stuck/
The upper audio uses the above mentioned div code to add a space between the black bar and the text below.

The lower audio is WP default so there is no space between the bar and the buttons below.

Thanks for your advice on Global Custom CSS rule box.

    Regards,
    Angus

By inspecting the page with your browser developer tools, you can see the selectors used for styling

The rule below should do it

    .mejs-container {margin-bottom:15px;}

    Thanks!

Inserting in Global Custom CSS rule box solved the issue.
