    I did this once successfully but don’t remember how I did it.

    Here’s what it’s suppose to look like:

    And I followed your instructions for adding the background but how to get it aligned with the wrapper.

    I have no idea what you are asking.

    The first URL https://web.archive.org/web/20211128195656   does not lead to anything meaningful,

    What are you trying to achieve with the header exactly?

    If you want the header image to be full width, you can select “alignfull” in the header image align option.

    If not, then please explain in more details

    That was just one link to an archival version of the site.

    But I don’t understand the question, either. The live version of the site has a menu above the header image with some blank space.

    OK, so the Historical version of the site simply shows a standard header image with the primary menu bar below it.

    If you select a header image for your site and create / allocate a primary menu it should looks the same.

    If it does not, explain what you did and provide a link to the current page you are working on.
