My current hosting company that I have used for over 14 years is going out of business. That means I have 40 plus websites I need to move. I think I have narrowed my new choice down to 2 options.
1 of which is Blue Host. I know they were well respected years ago, but I wonder if anyone has any insight into them now?
My hosting company suggested Stablepoint. They are more expensive but if anyone has any insight into them, let me know.

I used to use Blue Host, and for a long time it was great. Then I had a few VERY BAD experiences with them, and switched away. No regrets.
I now use SiteGround. Don’t know going rates, but they are about $350/year (might be true that renewal rates go up – I have multi-year plans). Have been very reliable. Provide nice host tools. Good WP support – they insist on keeping PHP and WP versions up to date. Have good security tools. And VERY fast sites. At least at my locations, I find my WP sites load really fast, but you can see for yourself – does this site seem to load fast? Never run into any limitations or restrictions.
But that is my experience. Huge improvement over BlueHost. Maybe BlueHost is better now, but I really had persistent problems a couple of years ago.

I also appreciated the lead for Siteground. I checked them out and I decided that I needed a little more hand-holding for this huge project than they offered. If I was starting from the ground up I think they would be a great option. Their pricing and what they offer was a better deal all around!
In the end, I went with Stablepoint because Blue Host had a TON of hidden fees. I was so glad I asked a lot of questions when communicating with them.
The other reason I went with Stablepoint is they use CPanel which is what my current hosting company was using and they will migrate the website and the emails without me having to do anything. This time of year that was a huge plus.
I ended up going with a reseller account because my little side business is using more resources than I would have even imagined. That was a bit of a financial ouch.
If anyone decides to use Stablepoint please say SecondLookwebsite.com or Robin Moran referred you. Looks like they give referrals out.
