    Hi, i have a Project with normal “News” und Categorys like References or certificates. But I would like that in the Main “News” hide these Categories. In the main Menue should show only that Category where I put a check in the “News”. Is that possible? Thank you for you Support

    If by “News” you mean Posts, and if by “the main News” you mean the main Blog page, you can filter any post category you want in the weaver Page with posts.

    First:

    • Make sure you are not using the default WordPress Blog page. Go to Settings > Reading, make sure the front page is set to static, and that NOTHING is selected in the post page drop down list (showing –slect–)
    • Make sure you installed the Weaver Xtreme Theme support plugin

    Second:

    • Create your blog page by creating a regular page
    • Select the “page with posts” template in the page attribute of the editing page
    • Publish the page
    • The editing page will now have all the Xtreme options for this page. In the “setting for page with post template” section, you have filter boxes, the first one allows you to filter post by categories.
    • If you want to exclude posts in the two categories  references and certificate you can enter the following in the box
      -references, -certificate
    • a minus sign means exclude the category. Without the minus sign it means include the category

    Hi, this works very good!!! Link Thank you very much. But now im thinking about that this solution is the better solution also for the other categories??? Better as the Weaver Show Posts Plugin??? Mmmmmhhhh #:-S Better I sleep for a night for clear thinking  😀

    The page with post and the show post shortcode do similar things.

    The advantage of the show post shortcode is either if you need to mix regular content and posts, or if you want to display the result of several different show post filter/shortcodes in the same page.

    But if all you need is one list of post matching one criteria, the page with posts is just fine

    Aah you are right: Both Tools make sense. But in my Case the Page with Posts better for me. Thank you very much. In one Year maybe i can help here other Users!!!  😀
