Header height

Hello, I am putting a header image in that is 232 x 188 and the full height of the image is not showing. The CSS is:

 #header {background-image: url(“http://pikespharmacy.com/wordpress1/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Pikes-Header1.png”); background-repeat: x-repeat; background-size: 232px 188px;}

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Background images do not dictate the size of the container they are applied to..

You should always start by explaining what you are trying to do.

If what you want is a texture  behind the Site title and tagline that does not scale down when the browser gets smaller, and make that area 232px, then remove your rule, and instead, put the rule below in Main Options > Header > Site Title / Tagline > Title / Tagline Area BG CSS+ box

{background-image: url(“http://pikespharmacy.com/wordpress1/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Pikes-Header1.png“); background-repeat: x-repeat;min-height:232px;}

IF this is not what you are trying to do, please elaborate.

Thank you Scrambler. Sorry to not be clear. Thanks for your explanation. I decided to use it as a header image and not background. So I also made it wider without a repeat. I did want the header background image to scale down. I was using it the wrong way. Thanks again.
