Hi, my website was OK until yesterday 14th of Feb 2020…it still scrolls perfectly on the PC but the screen freezes on Android systems..when I disable the weaver design blocks plugin it’s again possible to scroll…was there any update of either WP or the plugin which causes this issue? (there was absolutely no malfunction before yesterday)

ParticipantHi,
I had the same problem. After deactivating the plugin “Gutenberg” I was able to scroll on android devices again.
Cheers,
Jochen
P.S. I tried to post before with another account, did not work. Hopefully this second account will work.

ModeratorYou should definitely remove the Gutenberg plugin, as it is now part of the WordPress core

Hi, thanks for your input Jochen, I deactivated the Gutenberg plugin and it works! I am surprised since i thought that the Gutenberg editor was the base for everything else.
Cheers and thanks,
Oliver

KeymasterThe Gutenberg plugin is meant to be “bleeding edge” with all the latest tweaks and additions. It is not always stable.
The version integrated with the latest versions of WordPress should be more stable, and probably more efficient.
The fact that there is confusion about the need to use the plugin (there is NO need) is perhaps caused by the way Gutenberg was released early on.
