    Good Day Gentlemen!

Please forgive me if this is the wrong location for this.

FYI, I always access forum.weavertheme as signed-in on my desktop, and the access is normal.

However, when I access forum.weavertheme on my phone, I do not sign in.  (I have not tested this when signed-in – as your security thinks I am a robot .)

Since my emailed notifications from the Forum all arrive on my phone with a link to view them, I often click that link on my phone to view the original posts.

However, when I view to the Forum on my phone, inevitably the page is hours out of date, and no recent posts or the relevant emailed comments, are visible.

It looks like there is a cache update period of several hours applying to phones.  Or perhaps it is a site or CDN setting, to control updates on

I’ve tried 4 browsers on my phone, all with the same result, and today I also tried my wife’s phone – and same result.  Nothing in the last several hours is showing in the Forum.  But desktop is fine and up to date always…

    Hope this helps.

    Regards and thanks,
    Angus

    That’s strange.

The site is served through Cloudflare, however.

But there are two really odd things:

    1. A phone view is different than a logged in view.
    2. You can’t clear the login. If I remember, I’m using the latest Google robot detectors that don’t force the “find four stoplights” type of interface.

Try viewing the forum from you desktop without being logged in (and clear local caches).

Don’t know of a solution, but it would be interesting to see if there is in fact a difference in how Cloudflare caching works with phone. It is puzzling that Cloudflare can tell the difference since the theme is strictly CSS based responsive. I’d guess it is more likely the logged in/not logged in as that would deliver a somewhat different HTML chunk to the browser.

And remind me of your country. I might check if the Google robot catcher works differently in non-USA, non-EU countries.

I’m getting same thing on my phone if not logged in.

    Update:

But if I log in, it shows latest. If I log out, clear cache, then look again without logging in, it is still updated version, so clearly a Cloudflare caching artifact.

So I guess the thing to focus on is the Google captcha detection.

    @hkp

I found a setting on the captcha plugin the forum uses that will bypass it for existing forum subscribers.

Try logging in again from your phone now to see if you can get in.

    Thank you.

    But just the same here.

I filled in the Forum username & PW and then was taken to the Robot screen for that input of script, and then to the WP screen for that.

Have to leave now though to sleep.

    Regards and thanks!
