    Hi,

    I’m using the External RSS Feed Shortcode that’s included with Weaver Xtreme Plus:

    [feed feed='https://tauntisms.com/feed/' items=10 show_sitename=0 show_content=0 excerpt=0 feed_content=0 trusted=0 title_style='font-size=50%;' target='_blank']

    Unfortunately, the title_style doesn’t seem to change the size of the text as the instructions say it should. Either that or I’m not formatting the shortcode correctly. Thanks for any help.

    The page displaying the shortcode is https://gregtaunt.com and the shortcode results are in the right hand sidebar.

    I’m also curious if there’s a way to remove the author name with this shortcode?

    Thanks so much!

    @Scrambler will need to comment.

    I dont have much experience with the RSS feed, but at the minimum, we would need you to copy paste the exact shortcode you are using

    @gtaunt

    Please try this modification to your code in the shortcut:

    ‘ title_style=’font-size=50% !important;’ ‘

    Regarding the removal of the author line.

    There’s a setting to turn off the author name on single author sites here: Admin bar > Appearance > Weaver Xtreme Admin > Main Options > Post Specific > click box on “Hide Author for Single Author Sites.”

    That may work for you …

    Regards.

    Thank you!

    Adding ‘!important’ to my code didn’t have an effect, but your comment about hiding the author (which did work) made me think that I could try and change the font size in the Primary Sidebar Settings.

    That did work, almost – I went to Main OptionsSidebars and LayoutPrimary Sidebar. I was able to change the Text Font Properties Size to XX-Small to get a better fitting size. The only problem is that I can’t turn the bold off. I selected Off for Bold in this same Primary Sidebar section and the Appearance Wizard displays that Bold is turned off, but when I publish, the titles remain bolded.

    Do you know if there’s another place I have to turn off Bold?

    Thanks again for your help!

    @gtaunt

    Great to hear there is some progress!

    This may sound redundant, but before delving in further, can you please confirm that:

    1) you have the latest version WP, of the theme and all the plugins installed,

    2) and that you have cleared all page caches and optimization caches on the site, as well as your pc,

    but yet this issue still remains.

    And finally, can you please check to see if you have a setting which sets all links to BOLD?

    Check: Customizer > Global Site Settings > Links – Global Settings > Use Bold for Global Links – on/off

    … or Weaver Xtreme Admin as you so choose.

    Regards.

    Found it!

    I went to Sidebars & Widgets – Individual Widget Settings and changed the Bold setting from Inherit to Off and that fixed it. Thanks again for taking time to help me out. I appreciate it!
