Font issue with the new Xtreme version 6.2.1

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that after upgrading one of my test sites to Xtreme 6.2.1, I’m having a major issue with the font sizes being extremely large and the menu bar is very enlarged also. The blog post heading fonts are way too big and also the widget titles and widget links are too big.

I have not been using the customizer. I have been continuing to use the legacy interface with the Weaver Xtreme Theme Support plugin.

Let me know if you need a link to the site I’m having this problem with.

Please provide a link.

It seems as there may be a new issue with the site base font size (which should be 16px by default) in the Customizer vs Legacy.

I’d suggest you use the Customizer -> Global Site Options -> Typography: Global Settings -> Base Font Size.

Try changing / save / change back to 16 / save to see if that gets things back to normal. (or whatever size you might have used before).

If that fixes it, I will see if I can find an issue with the legacy interface.

Looks fine to me. All typical sizes. Titles in the sidebar are bold and are the biggest fonts on the page other than site and page titles.

The font size for the new version shows in the developer tools as font-size:1.18750em

When I use the default settings, it is 1.000 em.

You’ve set the default font size to above 16px somewhere.

I will not be checking the forum any more tonight, so hope you find where it got changed.

There has been nothing changed in any recent version of Weaver Xtreme that should change the base font size.

While trying several other themes, all the fonts seem to have a very similar size for plain text, so I don’t think the base font size of 16px is wrong.
