After upgrading to the latest version of Weaver Xtreme, on certain Pages wher FI was supposed to show as Header Image this is no longer working.

On pages where FI was set, no header image was shown at all. I needed to delete the FI to show the default header image on that pages. Is there a know issue on that an might this be fixed?

Page in question is http://ggb-bg.de – WordPress is on 4.7 but as I needed to delete the FIs I can’t show you a certain page which is broken due to that error.

In case you need further information to help, please let me know.

    Regards
    Michaela

This looks like a bug that slips through the cracks

@weaver, I can reproduce it, set FI to replace header image on a page (may be post) does nothing

Sorry, I am unable to reproduce this problem. I’ll need a more complete set of what settings were used.

This is what I assumed, not having more explicit information.

I set an FI for an arbitrary PAGE.

I set “Header Image Replacement: TWO different ways: one on the global Page FI settings. One on a Per Page basis. Both ways worked for me.

    @MSteidl
I cant reproduce it on 3.0.4 anymore

Can you update and check it you still have the problem.

If you still do, can you list all your page editing page options

Unfortunately, it does not work in 3.0.4 either.

This is how I implemented Feautered image:

This is the setting for Featured image:

and this is the setting under Main-Options – Conten-Area:

and this is the missing header image on Front:

It would be really great to find a solution to get this back working again. Might this be depending on PHP-Version or something like that?

    A few things to try:

1- If you have not tried already, go back in your page editing page and click Update, and go to Main options > Content areas and click Save, both to refresh your settings.

2- Also clear any cache (plugin or service like Cloudflare)

3- If that doe not fix it, I see you actually set The Page Featured image globally, so can you try to create a new page (test) and give it a feature image, and see if that NEW page works.

4- I see you have the “Plus” Version 2.1, if your Plus subscription is current, can you update to the latest 2.94. It should not have any effect, but I am trying to remove variables, as we cant reproduce the problem.

5- Next, can you deactivate ALL non weaver plugins, including any cache plugin or service (like Cloudflare), and see if that makes a difference. If it does,

I can’t tell if your site is set back to an alternative that does not have the FI header replacement, but the page at http://www.ggb-bg.de/veranstaltungen/ is showing a header, unlike the snapshot above.

Do you have the Weaver Xtreme Theme Support plugin version 3.0?

@weaver The header image showing there is the global header image, on the picture of the Page featured image it showed a different image, so I believe she did setup the site back to a global header image.
From inspecting the page, it says she has the Theme support 3.0

@MSteidl – I do not understand why there is a problem.

Please open the Legacy Weaver Xtreme Admin page, and open the Help tab. At the bottom, there is a section called Your System and Configuration Info. Click the button at the bottom do copy that info to your clipboard.

Then please send an email to weaver at weavertheme.com with that info included. I hope that may help.
