ParticipantUsing Weaver Absolute and Elementor.
Must admit, using Weaver Absolute with a page builder, I miss all the global options Weaver Xtreme offers.

ModeratorNice clean design Maureen
As you may have read in weaver previous post, Weaver absolute has been rejected by WordPress, so it likely wont ever be released.

ParticipantThanks Scrambler. I didn’t see the post. I have about 3 sites with Weaver Absolute. I’ll change them back to Weaver Xtreme.

ModeratorSorry, the post was for moderators only. My bad
Weaver is still arguing with WP, so there is still some hope, but frustration

KeymasterNice, clean site.
Well, I’m not quite ready to give up on Absolute Weaver. I’m in the process of negotiating a path to getting it approved.
May take a couple more months, but in the end, I think Absolute Weaver will be a nice, clean, simplified version of Weaver Xtreme.
One little issue is that I think the settings save format will have to change, but it will be easy to convert from the current .wxt format to the new JSON format. Using JSON will be nice because it is an industry standard format, and can be edited in a text editor, unlike .wxt. There’s plenty of other smallish issues as well. And still the battle over “too many options”. But I think I can convince the review that Weaver users WANT all the options, even though they make the options interface a bit more complex. The reviewer is still using the standard “You are the designer, and you should not make the user worry about design details.” Well, that missed the whole point, I think.
When I get it approved (or give up and self-distribute), I think Absolute Weaver will be perfect theme to use with Elementor, or Elementor + the WP Block Editor. Elementor has a nice small theme, but I don’t think it allows flexibility for non-Elementor designs.

ParticipantI’m certainly not an Elementor master, and I still have a lot to learn. But what I like about Weaver Extreme is the ability to set global styles: fonts, font sizes and colors, link colors/style, post styles. I prefer to set the styles up front and not have to style every single page. Maybe Elementor allows me to do this, but I haven’t figured it out yet.
I think my strategy in the future many be to set up styles in Weaver Xtreme, then switch to Weaver Albsolute, and use the Weaver styles I set in Elementor.
And with all due respect to WordPress theme reviewers, I am the website designer, NOT the theme author (sorry Weaver).

BlockedInstead of spending days finding the right theme, with Weaver Extreme we can create the site we want!
