Is there a way to divide the footer widget into two. Check out maxhealtheme.org. I would like the 2 IMP boxes in the footer to be side by side (obviously they would be diff boxed but this is just an example)
Your link does not work, but you can use the Footer widget area for that, it can be divided in any number of columns and rows, and if you have plus, it can even have rows of widgets of different width.
In your case, if you want 2 widgets side by side, put two widgets in the Footer widget area, and set it to use 2 columns in the Main options . Footer > Footer widget area column option box
