For some reason, depending on the computer monitor that I’m viewing my site on, the content area is either bigger/smaller than the header & footer area.  When I finished my site yesterday, it appeared to match.  When I got to work and looked on that computer, the content area was bigger than the header/footer area so I adjusted it.  Now that I’m home on my laptop, the content area is now BIGGER than my header/footer area.

How can I get this to stop happening?  I’m on Xtreme 4 Standard.

You have used alignwide for the header and the footer widget area.

If you did not specifically, you may have selected a full width > One step layout that does that.

Make sure that Main options > Full Width > One step layout is set to traditional, then go to Main option > Header > Align area and select center, and do the same for Main options > Footer > Footer widget area > Align area option
