Closed Topics DashIcons-Lock Shows Code

Hello,

Thank you for this plugin.

If I close a topic, it shows a nice icon, but when one clicks on the thread, it shows the code at the top of the page.

If I deactivate this plugin, then the code is not there.

Is there something I can add to the CSS or remove from a file to remove this display error?

I’m away from my development environment, so can’t check it out for a few days.

I’m not exactly sure what sequence shows the error. I’m assuming the “Monthly List of Resources” is title of a discussion or topic? I link to the site that still might demonstrate that would be helpful.

A more exact description of the steps needed to reproduce the behavior would likely help, too.

I didn’t post a link because the forum is still under construction.

This error only occurs if a thread is marked as closed.

If a thread is closed, this is how it appears on the forum listing page.

But once you click on the thread to open it, this is what appears at the top of the page.

 

If a thread is not closed, then there is no code there. If I deactivate this plugin, then there is no code there.

Can you see what happens when all other plugins are turned off?

That would help narrow down the search area.

Sorry, but I really can’t follow what you’ve done. I need an exact description of the steps you’ve taken because I don’t know exactly where you are doing this step:

Let me intrepret your steps:

You have a thread. What do you mean by a thread? For example, you started this topic in the Turnkey bbPress forum. So is the series of replies to your post are what you call a thread named “Closed Topics DashIcons-Lock Shows Code”. Then you as a moderator or as the originator click “Close” from the choices at the top of the Topic/thread? I can’t reproduce you next step. I noted that your screen shot had a message “This topic is empty”. If you just closed the topic, it should not be empty. So I don’t understand how you got to that state.

You can create a private reply so only moderators can look at your site.

Are you getting any error messages on your Server Errors Log, and when you turn on WP Debug, are you getting any error messages there?
