ParticipantHi,
We are using Weaver II Pro and if I set a background image through the WordPress interface in the Customizer, Under Background it works like expected, it displays the image on the background. My issue is if I want to have no background, I can’t. The Customizer only allows me to browse for a new image. Now I was able to force it not to display it by inserting into my css file:
body.custom-background {background-image: none !important;}But the page is still technically wanting to load the image. Looking at the index you can see:
<style type=”text/css” id=”custom-background-css”>body.custom-background { background-image: url(‘http://xxx.com/xxx/xxx/xxx/xx/blue-background.png’); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: top left; background-attachment: scroll; }</style>So how do I get Weaver II Pro to stop trying to load a background image?

ModeratorWhen you go to Appearance > Background, it loads the customizer, then under the image showing up there should be two buttons, the left one says Remove, the right one change. If you are not seeing that then something is off in your WordPress install. You may want to try and deactivate ALL non weaver plugin, just to check if there is an interference. You may also want to redo the last WP update from Appearance > UpdateFebruary 2, 2016 at 21:04 UTC #26390keueram72
ParticipantWhat is interesting though is when I go back to the customizer after setting the background image, it shows that there is “no image selected” yet it is in fact selected because it shows on the site. The only option is to “select an image.”
If I select a new image, it will in fact change it but when I go back to the customizer it still says no image selected.February 2, 2016 at 21:20 UTC #26391scrambler
ModeratorThen you probably have set a background image in the weaver admin. it could be in a few places
- As a CSS rule in Main Options > General appearance > Outside BG CSS+ box
- Advanced Options > Background Images

ParticipantEverything is blank. All CSS that could be causing this is empty. All the background images options under advanced options is empty as well. It seems like it is an issue with the customizer not recognizing that a background image was set.

ParticipantI was actually just able to find a workaround for my issue. I know it sounds simple, almost too simple that I over looked it.
So, even though it was trying to load the image that was set in the customizer, the customizer was showing “No image selected” therefore I could not just remove the image. So what I was able to do was simply click browse, choose a new image, the image would show in the customizer and then I could choose “remove” for that image and save and publish and it seem to work.
