Can’t insert and/or see hyperlinks on Pages and Posts

Hey, I’d like to insert hyperlinks on my pages and especially posts, but for some reason I

can’t even select the “insert hyperlink” button on Edit Page. It’s shown in a grey and dull color.

When I attempt to insert links by selecting the “Text” button right besides the “Visual” one I can

enter a hyperlink but it won’t show up when I finally hit publish. So how can I insert hyperlinks now

then…? I have Weaver Extreme, not the Pro version. 🙂

I couldn’t find anything by searching this forum, but pardon me if there was a thread already.

Are the other tools on your content editor toolbar (in visual mode) working.

The way you use the Hyperlink button, is you type the text you want in the editor, then you select the text, then you click the link button to create the link.

If you switch the editor to text mode, then you can type in the link HTML yourself like below

<a href=”linkUrl”>Your text</a>

But this has nothing to do with the theme, if really the above 2 methods do not work, you should try deactivating all non Weaver plugin and see if the editor work normally after that. If it does, reactivate one by one to find the culprit.

Normally, the link editor button remains grayed out until you select the text you want to be the link.
