Bulk Eidting Post Layout – All with sidebars to left and right.

Good day

After I had created a fair number of posts, I saw that I really needed to use both sidebars.

I set the theme default sidebars left and right, and, of course, it works perfectly.

However, now I need to edit the posts before the change manually.

Is there a way to do this in bulk?

Not 100%sure I follow.

Sidebar settings work the following way.

There are global settings by page type (in sidebar Layout) where you set the sidebar configuration for all pages of each type (pages, single post pages, archive ….).

Then in each page or post editing page, in the Xtreme option for this page / post, you can override the sidebar configuration by changing it from default (the above setting) to whatever you want.

Unless you did this, the global setting will automatically change the setting for all the pages of the same type (like post pages).

If what you are saying is that on each post editing page you had manually overridden the default sidebar setting with something else, then there is no bulk editing option within weaver to undo that.

There may be plugins that can do bulk editing of settings…

I agree with Scrambler on this, it looks like the easiest way to a manual fix.

However, there is one dated plugin “ACF Quick Edit Fields” which allows admin to add custom fields to the WP Posts > Quick Edit function.

I have no idea if the custom fields will allow what you need to do (and I doubt it), as their few examples only seem to invoke stock WP features for the purposes of production, rather than fixing.
