Broken Home Page – WeaverXtreme with SiteOrigin Widgets

Just received a support ticket from client saying they cannot edit their home page. When going to the page the page displays as raw html in the Edit window. There are no options to change to block view or SiteOrigin view.

There is a message at the top of the page from Weaver recommending we install the Gutenberg Plugin. However after doing that we get another message saying Gutenberg requires WP 5.9 or higher – but we are running 6.2.2

Has anyone run into this anomaly and managed to resolve it?

Any ideas as to why the page won’t load in block layout – assuming there is some corruption somewhere but how does one resolve?

There is no message in any current Weaver Theme or Plugin that would mention the Gutenberg plugin.;

Perhaps installing the Classic Editor plugin might allow that page to be swtiched to Block Editor or edited in the Classic Editor

Please paste here the content of the system Info box from the help page so we can see your configuration.

the current weaver configuration is:

Weaver Xtreme THEME Version: 6.2.1.5.1
Xtreme Theme Support PLUGIN Version: 6.2.9
Xtreme Plus (if you have it) PLUGIN Version: 6.2

You can also try to desinstall the Gutenberg plugin as this is now integral part of WordPress.

And you may want to try deactivating ALL non weaver plugins.
