    You have a rule

    #header{min-height: 400px;}

    Not sure if you use a theme option to set the header height, or custom CSS

    A parallax image has to be scaled as to cover the entire browser area, So depending on the ratio of the browser, you will get unexpected sizes.

    If you want to control the text, you need to add it as text in the parallax object, and then you can use CSS to change the text size based on the device

    Or you can use different images for portrait and landscape as explained below

    The selector for the content is

    .parallax-content

    so something like

    .parallax-content {padding-top:2em;}

    And you can change font size with rules like below if needed

    .is-phone .parallax-content {font-size:110%;}
