Background color in Classic Editor

I don’t know if this has actually been addressed are but I was wondering how to change the background color of the Classic Editor. Any help would be appreciated.

That’s rather outside the scope of this forum.

However, I’d suggest you ask ChatGPT as it will be a single line of text only, I reckon.

I’ve asked Classic Editor for help in the past, but never received replies, so asking there is a last resort, I’d suggest.

The color for post content can be specified in the main options (Content Area BG Color) Any color may be specified for a specific page or post using the Weaver Xtreme Plus Per Page Options -> Page BG Color found in the per page options under the classic page editor content block.

The classic editor does show the global  or content area background color, but does not recognize the per page options (which will show up in the normal site view).

I must say, at first I thought @weaver’s reply was the answer to my problems.

However, I set up a new site using the advice he gave me only this time the site has a green background. I noticed that changing the color in the Content Area BG option applied only to the frontend background color not the Editor color. Hence, I’m right back where I started.

Funnily enough, I didn’t have an issue with the background color until I installed the Weaver theme. Using the default WordPress themes, the background color is black …  Perhaps you could look into it?

I don’t quite understand your exact issue.

I set up a couple of test cases on my test site. First, I set the SITE background color to yellow. When I edited a post, the classic editor for a post shows yellow as the color. I then changed the CONTENT bg color to blue. This left outer areas of the site yellow, but the post content area to blue. The editor shows the bg as blue, as might be expected.

These are the only options supported to display bg color in the classic editor. Adding custom CSS would not be picked up by the editor, while it might apply to the actual site view.

I’m not sure exactly what you might be expecting. Please explain in some detail – just how you are changing the bg color of a post and what color you actually get in the classic editor. A link to the post in question might help.
