Am wanting to use a Soliloquy slider for Home page header?

The Soliloquy slider works – no problem – tested on a blank page.
Using latest version of Weaver Xtreme (3.1.2).
Using the site http://fairhopeyachtclub.com/ am attempting to replace the current Featured Image with the shortcode for the Soliloquy slider. When setting Image HTML Replacement text field with the Soliloquy shortcode AND checking Setting Replacement only on Front Page the slider does display. HOWEVER, the Featured Image also displays. When I check Hide Standard Header Image there is NO header or slider. 

All I want to display is the Soliloquy slider – HELP needed.

This was a bug that was fixed in 3.1.2, and on my test site it does work.
When I put a slider shortcode in the header image replacement, it does replace the header image which therefore does not show.

Can you make sure you have cleared all caches (plugin or services).

Then can you put the Sider in main options > HEader > Header Image > Image HTML replacement Box and posts back, because right now you only have the header image.

There is no capability of replacing the Featured Image with HTML. That applies ONLY to the header image.

If indeed you were trying to replace a featured image by a slider, all you need to do is remove the featured image and insert the slider in the content.

For posts, in order for that to also show in the excerpt, use manual excerpts (activate the option in the Screen option at the top of the post editing page), and also insert the slider in the excerpt

Okay – what is going on.

I, as per directions in prior message, got the header image to show a slider on the FYC home page only. Worked with no problems.

HOWEVER, when I came back in this morning to edit the site the slider was showing up on ALL pages – not just the Home page. Looked at the Header > Header Image section of the Weaver Xtreme Admin Menu, found the Show On Home Page Only check box and found it was unchecked. I have rechecked it and all is well again.
Question – any ideas as to why it decided to unchecked itself? I have not been into the Weaver Xtreme Admin Menu since I last checked the box?????????????

One option randomly unchecking itself is an unknown event.

But if your settings are not saving, there could be a number of issues as explained in the two guide article posts below.

It’s possible you had two tabs open in your browser with the Xtreme admin in both, and saved a version without the option ticked.  I’ve been tricked by that one myself in the past 🙂
