Admin panel changes not acceptable (error 406)

I have been having a few issues editing the theme settings after the recent transfer to a new server by my hosting company.

Clearly, the conversation between the server and the Weaver xTreme admin panel is more of an argument !

May I suggest that you install the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin and test the compatibility of your theme(s) with all your plugins, and with a vanilla WP theme (e.g. 2012.)

This plugin will allow you to do this without interfering with the live site.

From memory, you have quite a number of plugins, so this plugin should help you check them more speedily.

The other plugin I have found useful in these circumstances is “WP Rollback”  which allows both themes and plugins to be rolled back to previous versions for testing.   Very useful when you know, or have a suspicion, as to what is awry.

This one is done on the live site – so you had better make a backup before testing with this one……   🙂
