Hello, I’m having difficulty adding a duplicate menu to the bottom of every page of my website, and I’m uncertain if I’m approaching it in the best way using Weaver Xtreme Plus. https://www.regenerativecircularity.design/
What I would like is for the top menu to also appear at the bottom of every page, but I have been unable to do so. Is this possible, and I’m just missing it? If so, could you please tell me, as it seems this might be the easiest and quickest way of doing it? As below, I’ve also tried setting “Select Menu (from defined Custom Menus)” to Main Menu instead of Bottom Menu with the same results.
What I’ve been able to do is create another menu with the same pages, naming it Bottom Menu, with settings of:
Auto add pages: Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu
Display location: Secondary Navigation: if specified, adds 2nd menu barWent to Appearance/Widgets/Sitewide Bottom Widget Area/Add Block/Blocks/Widgets/Wvr X-Plus Menus with the settings as per the screenshot, but only the title “Bottom Menu Title” text appears, and no menu items. (I eventually don’t want the title to show, and presume if I leave it blank, the text won’t appear?).
I also have – Select Parent Block as: Legacy Widget (When I change this to “Widget Group,” it’s the same result.).
I’m reading: “Weaver Xtreme Plus Extra Menu Widget – Display an extra menu in the widget. The [extra_menu] parameters described above are included as drop-down selection boxes in the widget option box on the Widgets admin page”, and presume that’s just for explanation of the dropdown options under Wvr X-Plus Menus?
Please let me know if there’s anything else I need to provide to help. And thank you very much for your help!

ParticipantThank you, User Moderator,
I’d previously been reading that page and meant to have included it with my previous message, and I apologize for my lack of knowledge, as I’m still not understanding if I need to create a short code, how to create the short code I need, and if so, where exactly I should enter the code after writing it?
Is this a correct short code option (s) for what I’m trying to do to use the Main Menu or the additional Bottom Menu I created?
[extra_menu menu_name='Main Menu' menu_style='extra-menu' menu_type='standard' class='widget-areas']
Or,
[extra_menu menu_name='Bottom Menu' menu_style='extra-menu' menu_type='standard' class='widget-areas']
Or, something else?I was under the impression that this is an Xtreme Plus functionality feature. So does the short code go in the widget “Additional Classes to Wrap Menu” in the drop-down field
Or,
Appearance/Weaver Extreme Admin/Advanced Options/HTML Insertion/Page Content Bottom?
Or, somewhere else? These two links are where I’ve also been reading, in addition to the one you provided here: https://guide.weavertheme.com/shortcode-extra_menu-x-plus/
https://www.regenerativecircularity.design/wp-admin/themes.php?page=weaverxplus
https://www.regenerativecircularity.design/wp-content/plugins/weaver-xtreme-plus/includes/help/plus-help.html#extra_menusAgain, my apologies. I’m having a difficult time getting my head around this.
Thanks again for your help.

if you use the widget, you do not need to use the shortcode.
So if the area where you want to add the menu is a widget area, the easiest way is to use the plus extra menu widget.
You need to make sure you are selecting the proper options for which menu you want to add. some options determine the style, and the most important is what WordPress custom menu you wish to use.
If it will be the same menu as the top one you need to check if that top menu is using the primary menu bar or the secondary menu bar, and what WordPress custom menu is assigned to it, so you can use the same custom meu for your widget.
The shortcode is used when you need to add a menu in a non widget content area

ModeratorCongratulations on your solution!
I first viewed your solution on a phone, and thought it was interesting and very apt to see no menu hamburger ≡ showing at the bottom, but the full menu instead!.
I think your solution looks very good indeed, as the floating green menu background on the white, make it really clear and simple as to what it is.
Who knows, this may set a trend for bottom menus and easier phone navigation!

ParticipantThank you very much for your help, Scrambler! Your reply is exactly what I needed to confirm. You always explain things in a way I can understand, and that saves me time. My apologies for my delayed reply. I thought I’d sent this message last Friday, but I evidently didn’t click send after writing it. Thanks again, have a great day, and happy 2026!

ParticipantAnd thank you too for your help, User! Not until today did I see your message from January 8th. That’s a great resource I somehow hadn’t seen. And thanks for the congrats on my solution! I may even spend time to see if I can get the top menu to look the same as the bottom on phones.
I found your comment, “Who knows, this may set a trend for bottom menus and easier phone navigation!” humorous because back in the day, I thought all properly designed websites had top and bottom navigation to not have to scroll all the way back up just to get to another page. So I hope you’re right, and thank you for the compliment.
Thanks again, take care, and also have a happy 2026!
