ParticipantHello,
this might be a stupid question but I am wondering if Weaver Xtreme meets the standards for accessibility.
Can I use the theme if I want to delevop an accessible website without running into issues?
Thanks in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Gunda

KeymasterWeaver Xtreme does not meet WordPress strict Accessibility standards. It has most of the required fields, but not all, so it can’t get certified as accessible. This won’t change anytime soon.

ParticipantThanks for your fast answer.
Is there by any chance a list available which fields are met and which are still open?
I would like to use Weaver Xtreme for a weblog at the university and we are asked to keep accessibility in mind…

KeymasterSorry – Making Weaver Xtreme meet the official WP Accessibility standards is a fairly major project. I really don’t remember which things weren’t included (or included for all parts of the theme), and the standards have been a moving target.
However “keeping accessibility in mind” vs meeting some specific standards are not the same thing. I believe, for example, that most of the standard accessible navigation methods work fine.
But the theme does not use SVG icon, for example. It can’t meet color contrast standards since all the colors are options.
You’d just have to check out how well navigation works.
