Weaver, thanks for your help/input. I’m sure you saw my post to Scrambler. It was a plugin (display widgets) that was the culprit. Did not seem to be an issue of the plugin interfering with Weaver. Rather, the plugin simply wasn’t doing what it was set up to do.
Thanks for your feedback re: site. All good suggestions. I took out all submenus per your advice as I don’t think they are actually needed. The idea was to give people as many options as possible to navigate. Because my plan is to have my home page set as the front page, I was thinking it wouldn’t be an issue that people might miss that page. But if people navigated to my site through a blog post link or some other way, then I can see that it would be an issue. I’m sure it’s clear but I don’t have any experience with web design or marketing/SEO, etc, so I’m just sort of trying things out so, again, I appreciate your input.
And thanks for your feedback on menu color. I will change that to something else.
(Addition: After playing around for a bit on my site, it seems the way I’ve conceived of things (ie, how I’ve set up my site), drop down menus are actually going to work best. Including all the pages in the menu bar just gets too unwieldy. My home page is now set again as my front page, so that means that the people who come to the site from the main url will land on the home page and thus won’t miss it. But I haven’t done anything fancy with that page so far, so no big deal. As for the product page, again, not really a big deal. I’ve mostly just set it up as a navigation to other pages. Maybe not the best setup, but what makes sense right now……. But will be keeping in mind your advice/feedback.)
