Looked a very long time before reaching out and only now stumbled onto Global Settings > Site Identity, which step the tutorials I read all skipped. So, I got the favicon to display on the domain/wp-admin tab but not on the live tab. I cleared cache. I am starting to feel like this may be totally a WP issue and if that is the case no scolding needed. Just tell me and I will go away quietly and keep trying. Just love Xtreme though, hope one day I will do it justice. Thank you!
